Description: We made this for our daughter and she loves it! :)
We have a very small kitchen and I really didn't wanted to buy any expensive plastic pink play kitchen. So we made this one from first two levels of Albert shelving units. I think it's really easy, money and time saving.

ReplyDeleteLooks like a huge microwave at the top. Please make sure the whole unit is anchored to the wall. You do not want the little one climbing up and pulling the whole thing over...

I agree that it's essential to securely anchor this unit to the wall, and it is not apparent that it is already anchored. Especially as the child gets older and begins to climb on things, this could be very dangerous.
ReplyDeleteIt is reasonable to point this out because it may not be apparent to all viewers that this is a very top-heavy unstable configuration.
what kind of doors and drawers did you use? its great... loving it! :-)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely fantastic. Best thing I've seen here. Kids much prefer toys when they seem real and this is certainly that! When she's had enough of it it's perfectly nice enough to use for grown up kitchen storage. Well done!

ReplyDeleteI would just like to add...the need for *all* furniture to be securely attached to the wall absolutely does bear repeating - if it only prevents just one more accident (all too often fatal), it will have been worth it. Even the most safety-conscious parents can (and do! I did, as did members of my family, and friends) overlook this seemingly all-too-obvious danger.
