Fancy Feather Boa Lamp

Materials: IKEA Grundton Lamp Post; IKEA Lampshade

Description: Fairly easy I attached a pink Feather Boa I found after tidying up after our last “Gay Pirates” Theme Party on a IKEA Lampshade.

Therefore I pierced the lampshare on its upper rim and attached the one end of the Feather Boa using a short piece of florist wire. Then I wrapped the feather Boa around the lamp shade. This really benefits from the fact that the shade has the shape of a truncated cone so the Feather Boa won’t slide off easily. Finally I also pierced the shade on the lower end to attach the other end of the pink boa.

Result: a fancy looking lamp that makes a major eye candy in our living room :)

    It looks wonderful!

But why aren’t there any photos of the gay pirate party? :3

I’d be cautious with the feathers that are drooping over the top of the shade, where most of the heat from the lamp goes. Very pretty and floofy lookin’, though.

Why I don’t throw anything away: I have a yellow boa and a Big Bird Halloween mask that will be a lamp in 15 minutes – THANKS for the great idea!!
