Materials: LACK Side Table
Description: My son has been asking for a LEGO table ever since he saw one at his dentist's office. After searching for a reasonably priced LEGO table
Materials:
- IKEA LACK Side Table (my mom actually had one laying around the house)
- LEGO Duplo Green Building Plate
Things we had around the house:
- Earthquake Putty
- Two Wall Hooks
- Liquid Nails Adhesive
- Two Tin Buckets
1. Attach the LEGO base plate to the table with Earthquake Putty.
2. Attach 2 hooks to the bottom of the table with liquid nails adhesive.
3. Once the liquid nails adhesive dries (1 hour to dry, 8 hours to cure). Place one bucket on each hook and fill them with LEGOS.

Oooh, I love the simplicity of this, and it looks great. It also seems like it might do the impossible: help keep some of the Lego pieces contained and out from underfoot. Nice!
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of the Lego table but they're all too big. This one will fit in a bedroom share by three boys PERFECTLY! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteawesome idea! will share it with friends and adopt it myself!
ReplyDeletewow, so simple but so unique. well done you.
ReplyDeleteI wish had one of these when I was a kid. Good job!
ReplyDeleteWhy don't you just screw the hooks on??
ReplyDeleteBTW, "hack" does NOT = Simplistic sticking of items to other item!
It is nice to create such interesting stuff for children so that they have fun growing up.I thought you could also ad a cabinet underneath for the storage of the Lego parts.
ReplyDeleteThe storage is a useful idea. This helps organize the lego and other stuff.

ReplyDeleteThe table is actually hollow and screws would not support the buckets!
Hows does the earthquake putty work? Is it permanent, and how did you use it under the base plate?
ReplyDeleteThanks! Love this idea!
