Materials: Not, Mammut

Description: I had the NOT lamp and the MAMMUT shelf for a long time by my bed as a reading light and book shelf, one day I accidentally knocked the lamp down and broke its standing pole.

Instead of throwing it away I decided to attach the lamp to the shelf to maintain the same function as before.

The process was quite straight forward, the shelf opens into two parts so all the cables can be hidden inside, I drilled holes for the lamp poles and cables and that was it.

Did you saw the Mammut in two halfes? How did you get the cables through the holes?

Good deal! My cats tipped over my lamp like that (not from Ikea) and it broke the pole. It’s still being used, but stuck in a corner to hide how I’ve taped down the broken top part to keep it from rattling. This shelf idea would certainly work to make better use of it, but I’d have to find someone to make it for me! Thanks though, it’s a thought to remember for future reference.
