Solution for Benno CD tower height problem under pitched ceilings

Materials: several Benno CD towers, metal strips (or wood if you prefer)

Description:
I love the Benno CD tower. I had several in my old house and when I moved them to my new house, I found that I couldn't fit them under the pitched ceiling in the attic where my music room is located.

So I just stacked them horizontally and fitted either end together using some metal strips.

Now it's a low but wide CD tower.

  1. Great hack, but with today's technology, this is a tremendous waste of space and looks dated. Rip these CD's to create a clean PC/Mac-based entertainment center to update the look and reclaim the space.

  2. Really nice. I did something similar, alternating white and black bennos

  3. Or save money and just put up some shelves.

  4. This is so simple and yet so ingenious - thanks, Ronald! Exactly the solution I'm looking for, as I need a shelf under a pitched roof. Great!
