How to fit a Samtid floor lamp in a corner

Materials: Samtid floor lamp

Description: Not much to describe actually, since there’s not much of a hack, but still – you can see everything on the photos – in order to put the lamp in the corner get rid of the footing, drill several holes, and attach the stand to the wall with perforated interconnect tape.

Watch your cable on the bottom of pipe. It’s potentially dangerous when pipe will pile the cable. Anyway, nice hack. :)

Very nice and gives the room a cozy feeling.

If you intend to leave the lamp in that corner for any length of time I’d consider re-making that cable to the required length, much better than having the unused cable coiled up. In addition, consider cutting a notch in the bracket under the end of the lamp for the cable to exit – as mentioned above the pipe could slowly cut through the cable.

Otherwise, very nice, I’ll take a look at the couple of NOT uplighters I’m currently using, see if I can adapt this hack.

Wow, nice and simple minimalism. We also have a tylosand couch in a corner, and have tried several arrangements in an attempt to bring sufficient reading light to that space. Gotta love Ikeahacker for suggesting enviable and attainable solutions!

  6. Great… I agree with what some of the others have mentioned. The pipe sitting on the wire like that might rub and fray the wire’s protective rubber coating with slight movements overtime… And watch that the coiled wire doesn’t get warm, all tightly bound like that. Two thumbs up!
