"La cuisine sur la cour"
Materials: KROKEN rail+cutlery stand, GRUNDTAL containers
Description: I realized this for my sister's kitchen. I used water based enamel to paint every object, then I made decoupage with chicken figures. Then I refined them with handwriting in French.
Do you like it?

very cute and provence-like. did u use polish?
ReplyDeleteI do feel terrible for asking this, but what is the purpose of this? Is it just decorative? I feel like maybe it could hang over a kitchen sink and the cup could be used to hold a sponge or the like, but otherwise, I feel like I'm missing something...
ReplyDeleteIt likely has the same purpose as a non chicken-ized Kroken/Grundtal set up. :-) Spices, cutlery, etc. I think it's super creative & clever. Love the french chicken & patina theme. Will it hold up in the high heat & humidity environment of the kitchen?
ReplyDeleteRealization seems very good... But the sentence "La cuisine sur la cour" does not make any sense in French...
ReplyDeleteBelieve me, I'm French...
@QueenoftheFall
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they were meaning to say something like "Cooking from the heart" or something like that... except they totally messed up the translation.
@ anonymous, thanks i used water base enamel and then decoupage.
ReplyDelete@Deltaplan, for the next i'll ask you advice for translation, ahahah! i hope italian guests of my sister's home doesn't speak french!!!!
@tom: you are right! it's for the kitchen and you can put sponge, but also garlics, onions and in the small round boxes you che put spices!
@queen: umidity it's not a problem beause i use flatting to protect decorations! Thanks for appreciating! :)
