"La cuisine sur la cour"

Materials: KROKEN rail+cutlery stand, GRUNDTAL containers

Description: I realized this for my sister’s kitchen. I used water based enamel to paint every object, then I made decoupage with chicken figures. Then I refined them with handwriting in French.

Do you like it?

    very cute and provence-like. did u use polish?

    I do feel terrible for asking this, but what is the purpose of this? Is it just decorative? I feel like maybe it could hang over a kitchen sink and the cup could be used to hold a sponge or the like, but otherwise, I feel like I’m missing something…

  3. It likely has the same purpose as a non chicken-ized Kroken/Grundtal set up. :-) Spices, cutlery, etc. I think it’s super creative & clever. Love the french chicken & patina theme. Will it hold up in the high heat & humidity environment of the kitchen?

    Realization seems very good… But the sentence “La cuisine sur la cour” does not make any sense in French…

    Believe me, I’m French…

    @QueenoftheFall

    I’m sure they were meaning to say something like “Cooking from the heart” or something like that… except they totally messed up the translation.

    @tom: you are right! it’s for the kitchen and you can put sponge, but also garlics, onions and in the small round boxes you che put spices!

    @queen: umidity it’s not a problem beause i use flatting to protect decorations! Thanks for appreciating! :)
