Great find! This is a very interesting use of the Malm side tables!
Brilliant! Now I know how to make my new floating vanity. Thanks!
I would probably put something on the top of the working "table" to unify it all, but it's a neet idea!I would like to know how you hung it on the wall, just curious cause I did it too!And boy can it be sturdy! My kids have climbed on it and jumped on my bed for years now, and it never moved a mm!!xx
I went to the website it was found on and it was all in Spanish. Can anybody give me the breakdown of what was involved?
kate, it looks like he just mounted 3 malm nightstands together side by side. i agree with djinny and maybe putting a singular top so that it gives the idea of it being one piece instead of three pieces next to each other. it's a cool idea though. i'll keep it in the back burner.
how do you wall hang these? I tried it and I'm not too happy with the results.
supershanefx, try a clete or something of that nature. Outwaterplastics sells a thing called aZ-clip. It has one side attached to the piece and the other to the wall. Or you can make a clete. It looks like these are hanging from a chain in the ceiling.

Found a solution on how to mount these nightstands on ehow:http://www.ehow.com/how_6772643_mount-malm-bedside-table-wall.html
I used a pair of 18" Hangman Picture Hanging System brackets (a.k.a. French Cleats) to hang a pair of Malm nightstands in our bedroom this weekend. I drilled holes in the mounting bracket to correspond with the holes used for the very long screws that attach the upper shelf. Then I mounted the wall brackets with 3 anchored screws. I added little rubber bumpers to the bottom corners to make the bottom "float" out from the wall about 1/4" to match the top.Very easy and very sturdy!
Is it strong enough to place a flat TV on it?
I had malm nightstands hung on the wall by my bed using keyhole fittings attached to the back and then mounting the nightstands on screws drilled into the wall (concrete - by the way).
