One for the coop

Susan, a mother and chicken owner from Northern Ireland, uses the Ikea Antonius range as a new bug-free chicken nest box and storage unit. The drawers were cut with a sharp knife to create the nest boxes. Chickens love their new home!

  1. This concept might work for other critters, too. Cats, rabbits, ferrets, etc. A door could be fashioned from wire cube panels, hardware cloth, etc.

  4. Nice looking chickens! The roost is quite creative and I can see this making a good litter box too. As long as the hole is made higher to keep litter inside, and the stand itself is stablized so it doesn't move or rock when the cat is scratching to cover-up it's biZineZ!
