International Shed of the Year is an Ikea Hack

Chuck does Ikea hackers proud by winning the International Shed of the Year competition run by Shedblog. His shed, well it is hardly a shed, a cozy little hideout I would say, features a 16' long window made from Ikea glass shelving. I can't say that the window nailed the prize for him, but it's pretty impressive.

See more photos on Shedblog. Or hop on a house - er, shed tour of Chuck's winner on Apartment Therapy.

  1. Check out my bathroom sink on my furniture link. I bought the sink at IKEA, but didn't like any of the vanities they sold...so I made my own. Real custom.

  4. I looked at your pictures, on the Apartment Therapy site, plus your custom designed bathroom vanity on ScaleHouseDesign. It's all so practical AND pretty! You have an eye for playing up the beauty of the simple things, making (the) life stand out, without making a loud statement or being offensive. All simply beautiful!

  5. That is a cool shed. I design modern sheds and have them posted at http://www.icreatables.com/sheds/office-shed-convert.html I am always looking for inspiration. It is a great idea to use Ikea to provide simple and inexpensive parts for projects. I love the pipe door handles.
