She says, "It is the Leksvik bar table that I have altered with a shelf and painted, also shortened the legs."
The legs are shortened about 4 inches from the top. And Frida fitted a glulam shelf at the base for her sewing machines and other crafty things. Finally, a coat of paint.

See more of Frida's craft table.

I'd love to know more about how the leksvik table was prepped to paint. I'm consider the leksvik wall unit/changing table combo (a la Pottery Barn), but absolutely hate the pine. Would love to repaint the pieces white...just wondering what I'm getting myself into!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
I sanded the table really well, because its natural wood all way through, you can sand just how much you like... And then you paint as "naked" wooden furnitures are painted. I started with a primer and then 3 coats with the colored paint. I used a brush for all this, but thats your choice, hope that helps
