He says, "It's certainly nothing new as it's been done before, but I'm still kinda proud of it. It involves the Idealisk strainer.
I bought one at the Ikea here in Moscow where I'm studying abroad for the summer. I made a Wi-Fi booster antenna with a USB Wi-Fi adapter.

I hope that Prismacolor was used up!
ReplyDeleteNot a big fan of in-text ad links.
ReplyDeleteNot sure what that's in response to, but there aren't any in-text add links in ikeahacker's post or the linked article, so you must have something shady inserting links in the background.
ReplyDeleteFreakabulous!
ReplyDeleteYes Patrix, I am testing out some text linked ads. Anon, nothing shady going on. :) The ads are those with double underscore and are user-triggered. If you don't want them popping up, just don't mouse over them.
ReplyDeleteThe in-text ads are a little annoying, but they must help pay the hosting bills :)
ReplyDeleteWhat was the performece (siqnal quality etc..) before and after?
ReplyDeleteIkea strainer Wi-Fi antenna:
ReplyDeleteI am using this system since 2010
My house is build with 80cm width walls. ADSL box is placed at the 2nd floor, I uses my computer on the 1st floor. Signal has to pass through a large wall and a ceiling
Before >>> 1 to 2 Mbits
After >>>> up to 144 Mbits depending where I put it on the table. I have to check out the best position, 20cm right or left, forward or backward, are enough to increase or decrease the signal
