She says, "My Ikea hack is for an 1970 Airstream trailer that I found on craigslist and revamped into my girly-space. I took 'Gyllen Wall Panels' (not found on website) which are supposed to be used as closet doors and wall dividers, and I chopped them right down making them into blinds for the airstream windows. Airstream windows are tough to find proper window coverings for ... as the walls are curved (without paying a fortune for custom blinds). So these worked great, are pretty, super easy to redecorate when I'm in the mood to change colours and cheap too!"

I would love to see your whole "space' WHAT DO YOU USE IT FOR? That is a good idea I think I could use it in my bedroom windows to let light in but block the view inside.

Hi, it's Deb again - To answer IvoryPale's question about my 'after' sofa, it's from Sears and is called a Davenport Cloud (I believe). It's a klik-klak (sp?) which means it means it clicks from sofa to chaise lounge to bed.

ReplyDeleteOH MY GOSH! This is EXACTLY what I have been wanting to do with a vintage trailer...customizing and adding a futon-type couch, removing the built-ins...until now its all just been in my head and I had never seen it done before! Amazing :-)
