As a graphic designer in a corporate world, I really needed something to keep me inspired. Not staring at plain cube walls all day really helps me get through the day much faster. It really doesn't feel like a cube at all now.
The walls are covered in a picnic table cover (not found on website) I bought for 99 cents or something ridiculous like that at Ikea. Then added a few touches to make it more like home. The lamp, vase, mirror, clock, blanket and monitor stand are also from Ikea.
I have to say this cost me very little and had a very big impact."

I have to know how you got that fabric to stay on your cubicle walls! I work in an office with beige carpet, beige walls, and beige cubicles, it's terible. I'd love something like this!

ReplyDeleteReminds me of the time back in the 80s when our corporate offices were redone in pink and grey... the fitout designers were heard to express absolute horror when the staff started to move in their nicknacks and potplants ..
I like it ! But with mischief on my mind, why not scan the (physical) wall paper and use it as a (PC Desktop) wall paper. It would make the two monitor look like empty frames, and would be bound to confuse the other drones.

ReplyDeleteIt almost makes me wish I was back working in a cubicle...almost. Honestly if I still were I would try to get this approved by my boss. It looks definitely more cheery than the regular drab gray on gray of those cubicle.
