This salad bowl sounds good

Salad bowls are not only good for tossing greens, they make good spherical speakers too. Here's a pair from Robert that are getting the kudos.

He says, "I wanted to make a pair of speaker enclosures and bought a pair of Ikea Blanda Matt Bowls, glued them together then mounted the speaker driver in them."

  7. Hello here !
I saw this design a few weeks ago and i wanted to do something like this...
I choose the idea of making a 2way bookshelf speaker with 2 salad bowls.
The result is this : http://img600.imageshack.us/img600/2544/dscf2715n.jpg
It sounds great ! trebles are not directional at all, voices are clears, the low part is great, not deep of course due to a small diameter (105mm) and a lack for the moment of dampening material inside the bass bowl...

I'll post a link with the parts and mounting procedure to do that ....
