Here’s an affordable modern credenza

Tyler puts together a credenza from the Traby line, only to have it blend too well with the floor. Eight coats of high gloss paint later, we have a winner.

He also replaced the stumpy Traby legs with Capita legs.

Nice blend of wood and paint I like it

So maybe he only painted it, but some people may not have thought of that, so it’s still nice to show the options. And the legs look great.

I love my trabies just as they are but maybe one day I will want to paint them.

    Tyler Here,

Charles, ya you are right I did not make a dog house out of it, but there was some thought as how to bolt them together. So I guess it was more of an assemblage, if that is a word.

I did try to stain it before I painted it, but the stain would not take to the “real” wood veneer.

Actually I was going to paint the to inside boxes orange but I thought I would loose the wood grain look.

it does blend too well with the wall, i’d paint the interior orange!

If you really want to get closer to the Danish modern look, a dark stain might be more fitting.

    ditto charles.
so, the hack is that he painted it? sheesh…

  10. charles says:

And now it blends in too well with the wall. But seriously, looks great.

Great hack. It looks like a million bucks. There is a lot you can do with this collection.
