happy new year!

we kick off 2008 with this fabulous hack from shisomama! this has got to be by far the best kids' art table. love love love it!

children art tablekids' chalkboard tablekids craft tablekids art tableshe used a vika persbo table, painted with chalkboard paint. an index curtain rail is attached to the short end of the table to hold the roll of art paper. a magnetic bar keeps the paper down and serves as a tearing edge too.

  1. That is the most elegant, joyful hack! Only question - what does the magnetic bar 'magnet' to?

  4. Brilliant. The fact that the magnetic bar is also a paper tearing edge is ridiculously smart. Awesome way to organize the markers.

Wouldn't mind making one of these for myself when I need to sketch.
