ReplyDeleteMarcus here. The desk is not tippy at all because i removed the wheels. It stands rock solid. I have no problems coming too close to the wall. But I am only 172 cm tall, but i guess you must be pretty tall to have that problem. The original webpage-post can be found here:

ReplyDeleteWhat a superb idea. I have some LACK and EXPEDIT stuff, and my computer table isn't very cool. This idea is great! I'll have to test the stability in my nearby IKEA store, just because my computer table doesn't lean against a wall. And when it's not stable enough I'll have to do some more hacking :-)
ReplyDeletei bought the Malm Dressing Table and it works just as great. the plus is that i am not as neat, so the drawer components in the dressing table allow me to stash away jewelry and other accessories that might accumilate on the table top.

ReplyDeleteHas anyone used the Malm Dressing Table as a desk? I am thinking of doing this but although I know my iMac and keyboard will fit, I'm not sure there's enough hand/arm space for the mouse. In other words how comfortable is it?
ReplyDelete@Jessy I currently use the malm dressing table as a desk but I only have a Macbook Pro. I think you could make it work if you hack the front of the drawer to fold down.
