some questions ....

any ideas for a built-in ironing board?

linda is wondering if "a nice hacker somewhere has figured out a built-in/slide out ironing board that can be used in pax. it would be so convenient, don't know why ikea hasn't made one."

you know the name of this?

denise needs the name of these acrylic photo frames attached with a thin wire.

if you do, just leave a comment. thanks.

  8. This one could certainly be modified for Pax. However, it just doesn't seem like it would be of high enough quality to be worth it.

  9. @Linda: Dunno if this helps you, but there is a RATIONELL pull-out ironing board that fits into the kitchen cabinets:

Strangely, the measures are different on the German and the US site, maybe by mistake? Anyway, the only thing you have to do is figuring out how to adapt the (narrower) ironing board to the (wider) Pax corpus. Shouldn't be that much of a problem, I guess.

Finlir Fladdra, hanging frames... they look like the same thing but it's hard to tell because there are no pics in the photo on Ikea's site.

  15. If your pax is 40 cm wide (on the outside) and you have drawers with fronts (eg. not behind a door) there is a rationell ironingboard with article number 60090385 that should work, you might have to drill new holes to fit it.

  16. I've been looking for a similar hack to use an ironing board with Antonious. The system is perfect for a laundry room and is just begging for a proper ironing board. PRESSA is too small. Built-in ironing boards at the hardware store or even online are $100.
