"i dismantled the clock and traced the outside of its insert on a 8x10 photo. cut the photo into a circle with a hole in the middle and reassembled my clock. now i have a great bathroom clock that frames a pleasant memory from a trip to Japan. a new way to showcase your favorite photos!"Updated! Cool photo choice!
ReplyDeleteI've made wall clocks using many different brands, and the majority of them open from the front by removing the plastic/glass face shield. You can usually do this with a small flat tool or screwdriver. Just take your time so you don't scratch the plastic.
The latest clocks I'm making are all desktop, if anyone wants to see them: www.Clockity.com
Wow, wht a clock , creating some illusion because of its natural background !!
ReplyDeleteSimple amazing, great work.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't sure how to dismantle the clock either at first. Hold it in your hands with the clock-face facing you and wiggle the edges until the plastic cover pops out.
ReplyDeleteIs it a real clock? It's really gorgeous. I learned a lot from the comments.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for a personal touch gift giving. Love your work. Thanks for sharing the idea.
ReplyDeleteThink I will make a collage of granddaughter from 1st. grade to Sr. year in clock for her graduation. Thanks for the inspiration.
