some years ago, i remember ikea having home office fittings for the pax wardrobe system. i was so tempted to buy it because i could just close the doors and the office, together with all my mess would disappear. but finally, the thought of working out of a closet was just too claustrophobic for me. nonetheless it is good see that jen has made the pax wardroble office work.
[via apartmenttherapy home tech, thanks anna!]2
pax wardrobes with
drammen doors hold jen's entire office. i would suggest a
pax pull out shelf (with a wooden shelf placed in it for thickness) for the laptop and to avoid having to work with the cabinet under her feet.

Jen, I LOVE this! It's so sleek and modern, and I love how everything can be organized vertically. A couple questions: did you have to drill a hole in the back of the wardrobe for the cords, etc.? Also, I assume you have a wireless router somewhere in there?
ReplyDeleteThis is funny--I was in the container store today thinking about the same problem (I am trying to use a Billy bookcase as a desk as well) and they have a slide out drawer just like it meant for kitchen basket--just put some wood where the basket would be and its half the price at the CT ($15 + wood).
ReplyDeleteI Like the Monchichi in the sofa, it remains me about my childhood!
ReplyDeletewow - love it!
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't even seem cramped since you're in the living room. Oh the ideas that spring to mind!
