Pretty, but it doesn't look terribly stable. Does it wobble at all when you push on it from the long side? I'm not sure I'd put my dinner on that one...much less my feet :) Still, it is awfully pretty :)
ReplyDeleteIt does wobble a little, but not as much as I thought it would. I don't eat dinner off of the coffee table but both the girl and I often rest our feet on it and it's held up fine so far.

ReplyDeleteYou are my hero! It's funny b/c I bought a cool shelf from IKEA that I wanted to turn into a coffee table. I have been looking online for coffee table legs, but I couldn't find any modern ones and ones that were affordable. Thank you for posting such a great idea! I'll let you now how mine turns out! ReplyDeleteha good work, i stumbled upon this trying to find some coffee table legs myself, having already conidered using those shelf brackets as legs because i have a pair from an old shelf. i'm considering just using two, by drilling a hole in the bottom of them where you have your anti scratch white things, attach these ends to the table and then find something for a couple of crossbars to sit on the floor which i'll attach using the holes on the shlef brackets.
