$20 customizable laptop stand

i’ve featured a few laptop desk and stands before. haymon adds this neat idea to the list.

“i bought slinga brackets for $9 each, a wooden bar for $2 and screwed them together as a stand for my macbook.

the big advantage is that you can customize it exactly to the size of your laptop.”

thank you i’m going to use this idea as i need a monitor stand because i lowered the height of my table (Vika Kaj legs) so i need to raise my monitor.
better i already have 2 Slinga consoles at home i’ve bought but did not use eventually.

    $9 for each slinga bracket?!
They are £8 in the UK, that’s sooo not fair! I was going to use slinga for my shelves until I realised that three shelves would set me back £48 plus the actual shelves – that’s about $100. Crazy.

I love that desktop background you’ve got! What is it?

I’m curious, which dell monitor is that and what are you using to mount it on the wall?

Sweetness! I did something similar, but used a plank of wood from Home Depot instead.

    I really like this stand.
I’m going to attempt to make one as a computer monitor stand and I may make a second one for some other equipment (drum machine and Mixer)

That is a really nice stand.
From a design aspect I think it could be improved if the wooden cross pieces were on the underside of the brackets unless you need the additional height of course.
