need a wooden deck for your balcony?

i love mattias' idea for his balcony flooring. so simple yet effective.

"i have used gorm shelfs as floor decking for my balcony. i just added an extra beam in the middle of every shelf. of course some treatment oil is recommended, but it's still a rather cheap and easy way to get a nice balcony floor."

  3. No, I don´t like it. It looks like it doesn´t fit right. It´s way better to buy some wooden boards from a diy market. Cutting them to exact size. And it is cheaper than that ikea stuff.

  6. I don't think these will weather well, no matter how much oil is used. And pine splinters quite badly when it warps.

  7. Well Ive had it for a few months now. It seems to have weathered quite well so far. But the winter isnt here yet and im very doubtful it will last more than a couple of years.
