need a wooden deck for your balcony?
i love mattias' idea for his balcony flooring. so simple yet effective.
"i have used gorm shelfs as floor decking for my balcony. i just added an extra beam in the middle of every shelf. of course some treatment oil is recommended, but it's still a rather cheap and easy way to get a nice balcony floor."

how much total did u spent on these?
ReplyDeleteinteresting. originally i thought you used the slats from the beds! it looks great!
ReplyDeletecheers,
cindy
No, I don´t like it. It looks like it doesn´t fit right. It´s way better to buy some wooden boards from a diy market. Cutting them to exact size. And it is cheaper than that ikea stuff.
ReplyDeleteI am tempted to do this outside at the end of the garden!
ReplyDeleteI am not sure how to go about it though.
=)
Nice work!
ReplyDeleteI don't think these will weather well, no matter how much oil is used. And pine splinters quite badly when it warps.
ReplyDeleteGood idea, though.
Well Ive had it for a few months now. It seems to have weathered quite well so far. But the winter isnt here yet and im very doubtful it will last more than a couple of years.
ReplyDeleteDo you think it would be cheaper/easier to just use these deck tiles in the long run?
