"just got into my first condo and bought a new sofa. did not realize it was going to be a 6 to 8 week wait for it. so i asked myself what would be the cheapest way to have a temporary sofa... 4 jeff chairs tied together!
my tag line for it is the only new 'sofa' for under $60 bucks canadian. note it would be under $40 in US of A. almost criminal if you think about it."hey, it works for visitor waiting rooms too.
You know - just to expand on this idea - you could put some batting on it and then cover it with a sofa slip cover - would make it a bit softer - more like a sofa to lay down on.

ReplyDeleteIt looks very clean and I like it, but it don't look like a comfortable seat for 6 to 8 weeks. It gives us all more ideas for temporary seating, though. :)

Lol - nice hack! I think it'd be great for watching TV, but watching lord of the rings I think it might get a bit uncomfortable...

ReplyDeleteWe did the loveseat (two-seater) version of this while waiting for our sofa, after we moved to a new country with no furniture. Definitely not comfortable for more than an hour.
