ikea spotting: soyburger's mac basement

thursday eye candy. mark friesen tipped me on soyburger's collection of macs [and i do like macs :) ] housed beautifully using the ikea stolmen system. and i must say very good use of it.

anyone remembers the name of the low white media unit on the left? i wish it wasn't discontinued.

especially like this countertop from the stolmen too.

stolmen drawers make such handsome display units.

love the red klippan. i never tire of its simplicity. the skruvsta looks really good in this set up too.

go here to view the entire flickr set.

  1. Looks cool, but man, what's the power bill gotta be with that many running computers?

  2. Forget the "low white media unit on the left", the real prize in that shot are the vent-like, brushed-metal CD holders atop the shelf. When they were discontinued I was genuinely heartbroken.

  3. I made my litter box out of the exact same media unit in black.

  4. I saw this a while ago in a mac flickr group and was just stunned. I loved that shelving system too it was called dirigent and came in a really nice blacck or white glossy finish. I thought the way you could configure it in so many different combinations was great - I planned out a system to put into my office, unfortunately ikea discontinued it really quickly. There's nothing really like it any more but at least soyburger's mac museum photos show how it could and should be used. Great photo set.
