dockstahey, some mid-week eye candy. nicole [thanks!] did some ikea spotting and spied this on apartment therapy. pretty little space with nice use of the docksta table and gilbert chair. doesn’t look like it cost less than $350, does it? and can anyone place that gorgeous media unit?

does the docksta base support a 140×90 oval formica top?

are the gilbert chairs brown-black or yellow-brown ? thank you. it looks very nice!

I think the table is an original Saarinen, not a Docksta.

The Docksta is beautiful, but the plastic base attracts dirt like a magnet (just look at any sample in an ikea store). I bought one and sprayed matte varnish all over the base to give it a protective coat. I also scraped down the plastic moulding lines on each side of the column.

west elm it is. the ikea magiker tv unit looks quite different. definitely not a copy.

Hmmm…wonder if Ikea copies other companies cause that console looks an awful lot like the Magiker TV Unit. Of course the West Elm version is much classier.

    PS: love the site!
