this neat key holder used to be a magnetic knife holder (from the grundtal range, i think). now, it finds new meaning keeping keys in place. pretty nifty for small spaces or if you want some thing different from the usual hooks and key cabinets in the shape of houses.
though, fredrik, i must say what dainty bunches of keys you have. mine are like a prison guard's.tags: ikea, magnetic knife holder, key holder, fredrik jakobsson

Not a bad idea at all, but I'd wager that my sets just wouldn't hold because of the weight.
ReplyDeleteMight be a good way to hide those loose spare keys everyone has in their drawers and can never be found when really needed though.
Good idea ... except be sure to be careful about this if you have any keyfobs or access cards that might be destroyed by the magnetic strip!!
ReplyDeleteThis is brilliant... we've also found a good use for our magnetic knife rack, albeit not something everyone might use.
ReplyDeleteIn the middle of moving (hence, knife rack is not hanging on the wall), we were making address change cards to send out... turns out that the magnetic knife rack makes a PERFECT straight edge for an exacto knife.
The razor sticks to the bar, so you don't have to worry about getting off track like you do with a ruler...less pressure applied means a better chance you don't lose your thumb!
Now we need to order another one to keep our knives on.
Great idea :)
